Blaire Sharp
ROMANA’S PILATES CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR
“ I want my clients to realize how good their bodies are designed to feel.”
Blaire relocated to Austin, Texas in 2016 and uncovered her passion: Romana’s Pilates®. The Romana’s method, combined with her empathy for those recovering from injuries, allows her to have a genuine and intuitive approach to teaching. With every student, she takes the time to understand their personal goals, as well as any injuries, aches, or pains.
After sustaining injuries from a car accident nearly 20 years ago, Blaire credits her daily Pilates practice for her healing and correcting imbalances while keeping her fit and active. For the first time in her life, Blaire felt relief from pain through the strength and total body alignment gained from Pilates. She fell in love with the practice and began teaching Pilates in 2012 while living in Charleston, S.C. Blaire is passionate about changing bodies and lives.
Her favorite part of teaching? Watching her students experience relief from pain and challenging them to grow stronger though the Pilates method. To facilitate this, her lessons focus on deep strengthening through healthy alignment and functional exercises. Blaire’s goal is to help students learn to make meaningful mind-body connections they can take with them long after sessions end. Utilizing the entire Pilates method, she creates a tailored workout specific to each client.
Romana's Pilates® as taught by Blaire Sharp is designed to create suppleness and natural grace, helping clients develop skills that will be unmistakably reflected in the way they walk, play and work. Clients build muscular power and endurance to give them the ability to perform arduous duties, play strenuous games and, travel long distances without undue body fatigue or mental strain.
Outside the studio, Blaire enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, listening to live music around South Austin, nurturing her green thumb in the garden, and traveling the world.
