After Joseph Pilates passed away, Romana Kryzanowska inherited his New York City studio and preserved the Pilates’ legacy by educating the next generation of Pilates instructors. Romana’s Pilates® separates itself from other Pilates disciplines through its rigorous and comprehensive training program, requiring apprentices to complete more than 700 hours of observation, teaching and practicing. This ensures the purity, high standard and core principle—integration of the mind to strengthen the body and energize the spirit—of classical Pilates is maintained.
