Janet Eitnier
ROMANA’S PILATES CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR
“I want my clients to move their bodies in such a way that helps them be productive in every aspect of life-balancing the mind, body, and spirit.”
Growing up in Hawaii, Janet always focused on physical fitness with a wide range of interests, including yoga, running, hiking, and weight lifting. She discovered Pilates in 2005 when she took her first class. Back then, she was a self described gym rat. Her routine focused on weight training and running until one fateful day while at her gym, she saw a Pilates reformer. Intrigued, Janet asked for a demonstration and she quickly signed up for a handful of private sessions. During this time, she was recovering from an elbow injury and looking for a form of exercise that could not only help her rehab her injury, but something she could do long-term. Pilates fit that mold.
Over the years, Janet’s interest in Pilates grew, and by January of 2017 she had received the PEAK Pilates Full Comprehensive certification. Upon moving to Austin the following year, she was introduced to Romana’s Pilates and completed the Romana's Pilates instructor training program in 2019. Janet has noticed the difference that the Romana's Pilates method has made in her body awareness, posture and strength.
Janet’s teaching style is all about making her clients feel comfortable and confident. The changes she sees in her clients, both physically and mentally, is her favorite part of teaching. However, she loves hearing when her clients tell her they feel taller & more aligned, too.
Outside of the studio, Janet still enjoys running, but doesn’t hit the pavement as much as she used to. When she and her husband are not out traveling the world, you can find them out on their boat enjoying Lake Travis.
